How Secure Is Your Business | COMPUTER AND TECHNOLOGY

How secure is your business? I?m not talking about your physical location, I?m talking about the data that you use on a daily basis on your computers and send across your network. Quite honestly, there are a lot of different problems that can occur with server security that would cause you to lose your data. Of course, not all of us need to have a bulletproof network, such as if you were dealing with bank info security but it is necessary for you to make sure that your sensitive documents are not viewable from the outside. How can you ensure that problems are not occurring?

One of the most important things that you can do is to encrypt all of the data that is on your computers. You can do this through Lenovo Encryption or through another type of encryption which will make that data indecipherable from those who do not know the key. This will not only help to protect your information at your office, it will also allow you to log in from an outside resource and send data across an open network. Another thing that you can do in order to protect the data on your computers is to educate those who are operating computers regularly. You would want to ensure that they were not doing anything on the computer which would compromise the ability for you to protect the sensitive documents which may contain information about your business or personal information about your clients. When you take care of this regularly, you will find far fewer problems as a result. (Source: Server Security by WinMagic)
